Important information for symposium submitters:
Review results are scheduled to be sent to proposal authors in the beginning of March.
We kindly ask all presenters NOT to submit their symposium presentation as a normal abstract by the submission deadline. All rejected symposium submissions will be given the opportunity to submit their contributions as individual presentations after being informed about the review result.
If the symposium is accepted, all presenters will be asked to update the short description of their talk (100 words) to an abstract of 300 words. They will be informed accordingly including guidelines.

Dear friends, colleagues, interested citizens, ISES & ISEE Community,
We are delighted to invite you to attend the Joint Annual Meeting of the International Society of Exposure Science and the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA from August 17-20, 2025.
The overall theme is “Global Environmental Health Equity across the Lifespan”. With the rich civil rights history of Atlanta, the theme integrates equality with environmental health. As researchers, we know that our work should have practical implications and help all, not just those who can afford to live in more pristine regions. We are aware there are many places worldwide that are devoid of clean air, water, and soil; some of those are in our own city. In line with the theme, we will work with community-based organizations to provide a “toxic tour” to show where environmental epidemiology and exposure science have helped neighborhoods in Atlanta decrease exposures to myriad pollutants.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Atlanta in August 2025!

On behalf of the International Society of Exposure Science, I am delighted to welcome you to our 2025 Annual Meeting. This year’s conference is distinctive as we are once again joining forces with the International Society of Environmental Epidemiology. These joint meetings have always been so enjoyable and successful as it allows us to leverage our overlapping and complementary areas of expertise. It’s a pleasure to gather with such a distinguished group of researchers and professionals across a variety of disciplines. Your presence here reflects our shared commitment to advancing our respective fields and fostering collaborations. Over the next 5 days, we will explore how exposure and environmental epidemiology address environmental health equity, share groundbreaking research, and engage in meaningful discussions that will hopefully inspire new ideas and collaborations.
